The Austrian half of this trip was based on a chapter from the book "Europe by Bike" by Karen and Terry Whitehall. In order to travel lightly, I took along Chapter 10 and left the rest of the book behind. A hand drawn map for this portion of the trip is on the top of the image shown below.

The Swiss half of the trip was taken from "Biking through Europe" by Dennis Jaffe (I think). The image below shows the route information that I copied from this book. As far as I know, this single page is the full extent of the route information I used for the second leg of the trip. Of course I also had a Michelin map to help me find the way, but what if I had lost this single page of notes?
