These postcards are from a trip I took to New Zealand in April of 1987. I had
just spent two weeks in Australia on a "business trip," then I "recovered"
during a one-week whirl-wind tour of NZ before returning home. I rented a car
in Aukland, and drove around the country for a week. New Zealand is a small
country, about the size of California, with the same range of natural
diversity, and one week is not much time to see all the sights.
The text on the cards that follow is the actual text I wrote on the back of
actual postcards -- the images are from the postcards themselves.
It appears that I was already a bit cynical as I started the first day of
sightseeing in Rotorua -- but bear with me -- a good time was had by all...me,
that is.
